Gil Ronen Distorts Oslo Police Report By Claiming Rapists Are All Muslims

Norway Ministry of Justice confirms that a 2010 Oslo police report on rapes which Gil Ronen and other Islamophobes claim has statistics showing the rapists were all Muslims are untrue.

Earlier this month, Arutz Sheva, an Israeli website popular with Kahanists, an outlawed movement that is gaining prominence with the rise of the extreme right in Israel published 'Norwegian Minister Links Norwegian Rape Wave To Israel' by Gil Ronen. The story purported to shed light upon a conspiracy involving a Norwegian minister who ordered the truth about an Oslo police report detailing rape statistics to be hushed up, otherwise Israel may use the report against Norway because the rapists were Muslims.

Ronen offered no evidence for his claims except to cite an Israeli blogger who writes a Hebrew blog, one Yehuda Bello whom he claims understands Norwegian, is 'acclaimed' and has contacts in Norway. Ronen wrote:

"Bello reports that from January to late October, 48 rapes were confirmed to have been carried out in Oslo alone, 45 of them by Muslims. 48 rapes were confirmed to have been carried out in Oslo alone, 45 of them by Muslims."

Ronen contradicts this statement in another paragraph where he writes that the politically correct culture prevents them from being reported as 'Muslim' crimes. When journalists expressed scepticism at the reports blaming the Norwegian minister, all citing Ronen, the headline at Arutz Sheva was edited to read 'Muslim 'Rape Wave' Reported in Oslo'. The original claims about the ministerial cover up, can still be seen quoted by propagandists of Islamophobia including Robert Spencer of the David Horowitz organisation FrontPage Mag. The only source Ronen links to as proof, is an earlier piece he wrote in June 2011 with the headline 'Police Report: All Assault Rapists in Oslo Follow Muhammad', where he claims:

"Norway’s police issues report with amazing statistic: all assault rapes in Oslo in 2010 were perpetrated by Muslims"

Meanwhile, anti Muslim bloggers like Pat Condell jumped onto the bandwagon as did neo conservative hatemongers Pamela Geller and Debbie Schlussul , the latter has suggested that 9/11 could have been prevented had the feds paid more attention to Rabbi Kahane instead of making Kahanism illegal. Not surprisingly, none of these bigots linked to 'Voldtekt i den globale byen' the Oslo 2010 rape statistics report which they were misrepresenting.

It is worth mentioning here that Geller and Schlussul along with Caroline Glick have received flak for attempting to tie the Brievik attacks to Norway's anti Israel stance. The gist of Ronen's earlier piece is that Norway's bored rich population have their priorities wrong. But never fear because a neo nazi like Fjordmann the Anders Brievik idol, and by now discredited Yehuda Bello, are here to educate the Norwegians whom he describes:

"They are also traditionally anti-Semitic, he believes. As a result their politicians and press are focused on Israel’s actions in Shechem (Nablus) and Hevron and choose to ignore Muslim misdeeds – be they in Iran, Syria, or in Norway itself.”

What he writes next appears to be projection:

“Despite this, he reports, the Muslim rape campaign has become so terrible that even Norwegians have begun to recognize the reality around them, and in recent months there have been protests where the slogan was “Muslims out!”

If Ronen believes that expelling Norway's Muslims will make the Zionist expansionist project more acceptable to Norwegians then it's a misguided assumption. The anti Israeli occupation sentiment in Norway existed before the Muslim immigrants arrived in any significant numbers.

Shortly after Arutz Sheva published the Oslo rapes report story in early December, I wrote to The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Justice and the Police asking them to verify Gil Ronen's claims. I received the following reply from Elisabeth Lund a Senior Adviser to the Ministry:

"Statistics regarding assault rapists:
The Oslo Police District has given a report of rapes in Oslo in 2010. The report shows that for all types of rape, except assault rape, European perpetrators are in the majority, and they are mostly Norwegian. Assault rapes covers only five identified unique person. These have all a foreign origin. The number is however, so low that it does not provide a basis for drawing conclusions with regard to country of origin. Two of them were very young (under 18) and two had severe psychiatric diagnoses and cannot be regarded as representative of their ethnic culture. It is highlighted in the report that generalizations like "Oslo's rapists are foreigners", which have been seen in media, are wrong. The report gives no statistics regarding religion of rapists.”

Thus, the fabricated claims by Gil Ronen, can be dismissed as being little more than opportunistic distortions.

Daniel Pipes Misrepresents CAP Report on Islamophobia to Solicit Funds

Recently, Daniel Pipes head of the MEF and failed academic with a history of Islamophobia sent out a fund raising email, full of misrepresentations, including one about how a CAP study described him. He begins:

"The Center for American Progress, in a much-ballyhooed study, deemed me one of the five most influential thinkers shaping the public discussion of Islam."

The study Mr Pipes is talking about is 'Fear Inc. The Roots of the Islamophobia Network in America' and the actual words used to describe Mr Pipes in the report are 'Islamophobia misinformation expert' and not 'influential thinker' as he is claiming.

It was the first in depth report into how a small cadre of bigots are fomenting Islamophobia for political gain, though LoonWatch has been debunking and exposing their nefarious associations for over two years now. However as Phil Weiss notes, Fear Inc. side steps the Israeli links of the major culprits and funders, which is crucial to understanding one of their key motivations. The report states (page 6):

"Five experts generate the false facts and materials used by political leaders, grassroots groups, and the media:

These experts travel the country and work with or testify before state legislatures calling for a ban on the nonexisting threat of Sharia law in America and proclaiming that the vast majority of mosques in our country harbor Islamist terrorists or sympathizers."

Indeed, the email Pipes sent out to solicit donations would qualify as an exhibit of this misinformation. He writes:

"Meanwhile, Islamist violence in America is on the rise; for example, the number of jihad-related terror indictments in U.S. courts doubled in 2010 and is on pace to reach a new high in 2011."

Jihad related attacks in 2010 were down from the previous year. He made no mention of the significant numbers of American Muslims tipping off authorities about potential threats, nor of the growing debate questioning the motives of the myth makers fuelling this propaganda.

Professor Charles Kurzman, who wrote the book The Missing Martyrs: Why There Are So Few Muslim Terrorists gave an interview to Think Progress. He puts the threat into context by explaining how American Muslims play a prominent role in combating what he describes as a low level threat. Significantly, Pipes glosses over the fact that right wing terrorist threats are on the rise. Annual statistics compiled by the SPLC in 'The Year in Hate & Extremism, 2010' show that:

"Taken together, these three strands of the radical right — the hatemongers, the nativists and the antigovernment zealots — increased from 1,753 groups in 2009 to 2,145 in 2010, a 22% rise. That followed a 2008-2009 increase of 40%."

Another study, 'Anti-Terror Lessons of Muslim-Americans' a joint project by the Duke University and the University of North Carolina drew similar conclusions. David Schanzer, director of the Triangle Center on Terrorism and Homeland Security at Duke University and a co author of this paper suggests:

"Our research suggests that initiatives that treat Muslim-Americans as part of the solution to this problem are far more likely to be successful,"

Elaborating further in 'It’s time to confront the ‘counterjihadists' Schanzer suggests:

"Muslims need to be more aggressive in confronting mistruths about Islam that appear in discourse, whether they come from radical Muslims or anti-Islamic demagogues. The public is uneducated about Islam. This vacuum is being filled by the clash-of-civilization cheerleaders. Muslims need to tell a different story."

In the Fall of 2011, Risa Brooks, Political Science Professor at Marquette University, wrote an analysis; 'Muslim “Homegrown” Terrorism in the United States: How Serious Is the Threat?'. It details how the exaggerated fear of Islamic terrorism in the USA diverts costly resources from more pressing threats and questions why the Department of Homeland Security downplays the rising number of right wing terrorist threats and which are often not even labelled as such even when they qualify. She concludes:

"the political dynamics noted above contribute to an unbalanced presentation of domestic terrorist threats in the country, the well-intentioned desire by public offcials and politicians to prepare people for local attacks even at the risk of overstating their probability, and perhaps more cynically, those individuals’ bureaucratic and political incentives to magnify the threat. Regardless of the source of alarmism, all Americans benefit from questioning assumptions about the Muslim homegrown threat."

Why then is Daniel Pipes engaged in focusing on and magnifying one threat? Tellingly, in 'The End of American Jewry's Golden Era' he laments:

"The Jews' Golden Age in America began in 1950, when social restrictions were eased in universities, banks, businesses, clubs, etc. This period may now be ending with the growth of the American Muslim population."

Elsewhere too, Pipes has written of his fear of the growing influence of American Muslims:

"It is also the right of CAIR, AMC, and the Muslim Public Affairs Council to devote their resources to promoting the idea of Muslim victimization. But the reality is, stubbornly, otherwise: far from being victimized, the Muslim-American community is robust and advancing steadily."

In his paranoid mind, any kind of success enjoyed by American Muslims must necessarily translate as being detrimental to American Jews. This myopic thinking would explain his uncalled for attacks on Rep. Ellison and his fixation with Muslims in every walk of life from politics to business, from the academia to beauty pageants. Both in America and around the world, Pipes and his Islamophobic allies manage to find a conspiracy behind anything that portrays Muslims in a positive light. Simultaneously, trawling the news for any crime comitted by a Muslim to exploit as the true face of Islam even if the culprit was a non practicing Muslim.

Pipes claims to be protecting American rights in the Middle East and trumpets how Campus Watch (accused of intimidating the academia) and The Legal Project combat 'lawful' jihadism and protects free speech citing Geert Wilders as a beneficiary. Would Wilders have been a recipient if he didn't lend support to the far right Likud agenda that neo conservatives support? Top Dutch officials have mocked Wilders for claiming Islam is a trojan horse in the Netherlands when he himself is loyal to a foreign nation. Sheila Musaji has a compilation of anti Palestinian and Islamophobic memes that Pipes has attempted to legitimise through his organisations.

Returning to the email Pipes sent out, he writes:

"The Obama administration's outreach at home and abroad further strengthens and emboldens the Islamists"

That sounds almost like a subconscious rebuke to President Obama for eliminating Osama Bin Laden and Anwar al Awlaki, two figures that Islamophobes need to exploit!

He goes on to solicit:

"As debate over Middle Eastern and Islamic issues intensifies ahead of the 2012 elections, I urge you to support our efforts by making a donation,"

This shouldn't come as any surprise. Pipes had already tried to inject anti Muslim hysteria masquerading as 'debate', both during and after the 2008 election. Some highlights include; Equating Keith Ellison to Hitler; Propagating the falsehood of Obama being a Muslim for which he was mocked at in Islam, Israel and Insurgents a televised Q and A session; Suspecting beauty pageants of 'affirmative action' for their odd frequency of having Muslim winners. Although Pipes claims that he only fights 'Islamism', in all likelihood to keep up a pretence of scholarly repute, Eli Clifton outed him as a fully fledged Islamophobe.

Having failed to influence the 2008 election in the way he had hoped, Pipes switched tactics proceeding to advise Obama that he could save his presidency by bombing Iran. Then when Egyptians were waiting for Mubarak to step down, he saw Iran as the puppeteer lurking in the background.

Evidently, Pipes intends to get just as down and dirty in the 2012 elections as he puffs:

"The Forum, a think tank I founded in 1994 to promote American interests in the Middle East and protect America from Islamist threats, is very active these days."

By now there is plenty of evidence that points to a legitimate threat being hyped by Pipes under cover of American patriotism to promote Likud politics for which an Islamist bogeyman is necessary. All this, whilst accusing American Muslims of colluding with the left to strengthen the Muslim Brotherhood. Clearly a bad case of projection. One could conclude that Pipes is as extreme as they get, but the peace advocate and blogger Richard Silverstein notes at his website Tikun Olam, popularly known as 'The Wiki Leaks of Israel' that 'Among Anti-Muslim Warriors Pipes is a Dove'. Particularly so when compared to proponents of Religious Zionism and right wing extremists.

Robert Steinback at the SPLC offers a mirror into the minds of these anti Muslim warriors with his intelligence report 'Jihad Against Islam' which he ends with :

"It is particularly perplexing trying to discern the ultimate goal of this corps of activists. If their aim is to isolate and destroy the violence-prone fanatical Muslim fringe, then it doesn't make sense to undermine moderate Muslims and argue that only confirmed terrorists are interpreting the Koran correctly. But both tactics make perfect sense if the aim is to build a widespread, irrational fear and hostility against Islam in general — encouraging, rather than helping defuse, an eventual global confrontation between East and West."

It may indeed be a cynical obfuscation employed by Pipes and his allies. It is worth remembering that The Republican Jewish Coalition encourages alliances with extremist Christian Zionists whose reading of the Bible foretells this clash of civilisations. Little wonder then, that Pipes' lengthy career in 'saving the West' from an imaginary threat has merited him the 2006 "Guardian of Zion" award by Bar-Ilan University in Israel.

Caroline Glick Cited As One of Israeli American Tipsters By Gates of Vienna Where Fjordman Appears To Be Back

Islamophobic blogs like Gates of Vienna popular with white supremacists have Israeli American fans who have adopted a hard line pro Israel agenda at odds with US foreign policy. It appears that 'Fjordman' is back at Gates of Vienna. He was cited as a tipster alongside Caroline Glick, the senior editor at The Jerusalem Post, recently.

A closer scrutiny of Gates of Vienna the white supremacist blog which published 'Fjordman' until he went into hiding after the Norway massacre shows it is run by a couple living in Virginia, USA, one Baron Bodissey whose real name is Edward May popularly known as 'Ned May' and his wife who edits the blog under the pseudonym 'Dymphna.' It claims to focus on the 'Great Jihad' in Europe, regularly publishing essays promoting white supremacism, calls for a Muslim Holocaust, vile anti Islam bigotry, lies and polemics dressed up as 'counter jihadism'. Anders Brievik has posted comments here. In the past too, discussions of exterminating the 'Muslim' problem caused waves as in 'Thinking the Unthinkable' in which options to rid the world of Muslims were discussed.

Gates of Vienna has a pro Israel focus which Ned and Dymphna go to great pains to emphasise. A cynic may suspect there are ulterior motives at play here. The dots linking Zionism and Islamophobia have been connected numerous times and come as no surprise by now. Fear Inc. a six month study by the Centre for American Progress, details how an Islamophobia industry is being funded and peddled by a small minority of conservatives. What is popularly known as 'Islamism' has it's Zionist counterpart, as explored in a recent Loon Watch series 'Why Religious Zionism, Not Judaism, Is The Problem'.

Indeed Dymphna regularly does the rounds at right wing Zionist websites posting comments moaning about their poverty. One such blog is the rabidly anti Palestinian and Islam hating blog 'Sultan Knish' run by Daniel Greenfield an Israeli sabra living in New York, who is a fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Centre the same organisation that sponsors Jihad Watch.

Obsessed with a pathological hatred for Muslims and a delusion that the US military exists to carry out his fantasy of a war on Islam, Daniel's postings regularly dehumanise Palestinians and Muslims, and he invents anti Islam screeds on whim, not unlike Ned May. He also has a Torah Parsha blog and this video shows him in a debate about New Media. In a common theme amongst neo cons, Daniel complains there is a plot to destroy the US military by Obama. In one blog post 'Winning the War on Terror' he suggests genocide:

‘We would have to be willing to kill millions, directly or indirectly, while maintaining an alliance that would defy Russia, China and the First World nations that would accuse us of genocide. The real name for this war might well turn out to be World War III. It would take a Churchill or a Roosevelt to launch something like that, and while the world would be radically different afterward, it might well turn out to be radioactively different too.’

Whilst Daniel's crowd propagate that Muslims are out to destroy the USA, the truth is these very neo-conservatives bankrupted the US economy by leading it into trillion dollar wars on fake premises and fabricated evidence. As Julian Borger reported in The Guardian, the evidence for the Iraq war was fabricated by the now defunct 'The Office of Special Plans' affiliated with hard line likudniks whose mission was to drag the USA into a war with Iran then Saudi Arabia, and Syria with the aim of securing Israel's regional supremacy. The BBC Panorama documentary explored this nexus in 'The War Party'.

When the worlds media was questioning the role Robert Spencer and his crowd played in influencing the massacre, Daniel Greenfield, rushed to defend his buddies with 'Brievexploitation' a pathetic attempt to divert blame. A cursory glance at the comments underneath this post, dated 8/06/2011 shows Dymphna reminding Daniel how her ilk suffer for being philo-semitic:

'The fledgling right wing of European politics, the only part of it that was NOT anti-Semitic, has been ripped from the body politic in Europe and thrown on the ash heap.'

After reminding him and his readers of the huge sacrifices made, she goes on to subtly beg:

'Perhaps you could suggest to Mr. Horowitz that as part of discovering ABB's networks, he could have that analysis done? Certainly if I had the money I'd get it asap.'

Thus whilst smearing the philanthropist George Soros as being an ally of nazis Daniel links to Gates of Vienna on his blogroll.

Far right Islamophobic activists have forged alliances of convenience with radical Zionists and regard Israel as an ally, not least because they see Israel's treatment of Palestinians as a role model for how Muslims should be treated. Hard line Zionists see it as an opportunity to lessen the growing Muslim influence in the USA or Europe which they see as detrimental to a greater Israel. Stooges like Geert Wilders are funded in the hope they can halt Muslim immigration and influence. Marginalised as they are, some European nationalist groups are willing to shed their traditional Jew hatred in an attempt to find allies, but as often happens in marriages of convenience, it doesn't take much for cracks to appear.

Pamela Geller's association with the EDL caused waves when Roberta Moore claimed they had Jew hating members and were not sufficiently pro Israel. In Europe, German newspaper Der Spiegel probed this alliance in 'The Likud Connection' showing how some marginalized right wing populists are going the Geert Wilders way. This bizarre coupling has split the far right movement in Europe which has traditionally been anti-semitic.

Meanwhile, Ned May, an EDL activist, serves as director of International Free Press Society an American and Denmark based group whose members claim to fight threats to free speech from 'forces within Islam'. IFPS's board members include the familiar names Bat Ye'or, Robert Spencer, Andrew Bostom and affiliates like Aish Ha Torah. Names which have already been exposed for their leading roles in fomenting anti Muslim sentiment by Think Progress in their groundbreaking investigation Fear Inc.

Incidentally, one of the listed advisers for IFPS is Rachel Ehrenfeld an expert on terrorism and author of 'Funding Evil' in which she made allegations of terror funding against the now deceased Saudi billionaire Khalid bin Mahfouz for which he sued.

Ned often mixes in a pro Israel and pro Jewish stance liberally peppering his polemics with quotes from the Talmud and expresses a desire (like Dymphna) to be in the pay of Mossad. In this he has help from fellow bloggers like his friend a Jerusalem based Israeli American legal expert. No, not David Yerushalmi, but one Carl Mordechai Sherer, who runs Israel Matzav as 'Carl in Jerusalem'. In a 2009 blog post Charles Johnson banned Carl from Little Green Footballs in the comments section ( 282, and 407 and 409) where he had been a heavy commenter for posting a link to Gates of Vienna, and ended the discussion that followed with a curt 'I will have nothing to do with people who promote fascist creeps.' Stung by LGF's criticism, a blog war followed, in which Ned May tries to salvage some dignity for his cesspool.

A particularly revealing blog post is where Carl can be seen giving Ned advice on the legality of declaring Jewish rights to Israel as an indigenous people, stating he fully supported a 'greater Israel' though the world won't allow it. Ned in turn laments a common nazi theme which he modifies to this convoluted logic:

'Regardless of the merits of the case, I agree with Carl that the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples will never be applied to Jews — or to white Europeans, for that matter.

“Indigenous Peoples” are “brown” peoples, especially Muslims, American Indians, Australian Aboriginals, and black Africans. Anything using the term that is passed by the UN will only be allowed to apply to those peoples, and never to Jews or Caucasians.'

Ned May must not have heard of the millions of Caucasian Muslims including Russians, American Muslims or the British and European converts. Carl, who did not see fit to tell his friend that nearly half of Israeli's are non Caucasian Mizrahi, Asian and Ethiopian Jews was however, quick to hypocritically cry 'nazi' at white supremacist Occupy Wall St protesters.

Incidentally, Carl, who has lauded Fjordman's postings at Gates of Vienna gushes at Israel Matzav:

'For those who have never been to Gates of Vienna, go check it out. It's some of the highest level intellectual material you will ever read on the Internet.'

How high is that 'intellectual level' ? Let us quote Ned verbatim where he explains the purpose of Gates of Vienna is to spread lies at grassroots level, in short; telling a lie often enough makes one believe it. Not just to lie but to oversell it. In a blog titled 'Overselling the Meme' he states:

'This must be accomplished at a level well below that of the celebrities and famous pundits, because action on that battlefield invites a massive and well-funded counterattack by CAIR, ISNA, the OIC, etc.'

Using hyperbole and flowery nonsense, he spells out his mission in life:

'As a propagandist, my task is to spread the meme and not to sweat the nuances. Nuances can be argued about and nailed down by scholars in the centuries after Islam — as a culture, a political ideology, and a religion — is totally destroyed. We don’t have the luxury for such finicky scholasticism right now.'

Perhaps the best known Israeli tipster for Gates of Vienna is The Jerusalem Post's Caroline Glick an Israeli American known for her right wing views, and who serves as editor for the Israeli political satire website Latma TV. Caroline was cited approvingly in Breivik's manifesto. It appears that Fjordman is once more back at Gates of Vienna, for on 13th October 2011, the credits included :

'Thanks to C. Cantoni, Caroline Glick, Fjordman, heroyalwhyness, JP, and all the other tipsters who sent these in.'

When Israel was forced to offer an apology for Latma TV releasing 'We Con the World,' a satire mocking the dead Gaza flotilla activists, the Huffingon Post's Eileen Read wrote 'The Jerusalem Post Should Fire Caroline Glick for Making a Racist Video in which she opined:

'But this is lower than I've ever seen someone go who carries a management title at a journalism organization. I'm ashamed to say that Glick and I are both Columbia alums. Even if she hates people of another race or religion and is allowed by her editors to poke fun at them in a tasteless and blatantly racist way, she should be fired for making fun of the dead.'

This incident was not the only time Caroline Glick has received flak for her radical opinions. In the aftermath of the Norway massacre, the Jerusalem Post published editorials that had tried to link the tragedy to Europe's immigration policies. Norwegians took offence at sentiments expressed by Glick amongst others and voiced their objections to Israeli diplomats as to how the tragedy was being exploited. Some weeks later, the Jerusalem Post's Editor in Chief published 'Apology to Norway' an editorial in which he expressed remorse:

'As Senior Contributing Editor Caroline B. Glick suggested in her column last Friday, the fact that Breivik’s warped mind cited a group of conservative thinkers including herself as having influenced his thinking in no way reflects on them.

“As a rule, liberal democracies reject the resort to violence as a means of winning an argument. This is why, for liberal democracies, terrorism in all forms is absolutely unacceptable,” she wrote. “Whether or not one agrees with the ideological self-justifications of a terrorist, as a member of a liberal democratic society, one is expected to abhor his act of terrorism. Because by resorting to violence to achieve his aims, the terrorist is acting in a manner that fundamentally undermines the liberal democratic order.”

It later emerged that Breivik, a Christian radical, had posted on the Internet an extremely anti-Muslim manifesto that supported far-right nationalism and Zionism.'

He then moves on to vocalise the Jerusalem Post's stance:

A breakdown by the researchers of Fear Inc. shows that the major recipients include Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT), Middle East Forum (MEF), Clarion Fund (Clarion), David Horowitz Freedom Center (Horowitz).

What stands out in this report though is the fact that the largest sums came from Donors Capital Fund which tops the list of givers at a whopping $20 million.

This is more than twice the amount Richard Scaife Foundations, the second on the list gave.

There is probably much more that remains unknown about the funding behind this campaign but from the available facts it is safe to conclude these pro Israel Zionists who form the core of the Republican party, need to convince American's and the West to believe they are facing the seemingly same threat that Israel does.

The Republican Party, appears to be the political home of the Islam bashers. That changed after 9/11, and in 2008 the Democrats got nearly 90% of the votes of American Muslims and around 80% of the vote of American liberal Jews who number around seven million. The Centre for American Progress which produced the Fear Inc. report on Islamophobia acts as an advisory think tank to President Obama. The major players behind the Islamophobia campaign are Republican supporters and conservative.

The prominent figures mentioned in Fear Inc. are nearly all Jewish, with some Christian Zionists, In all fairness, it should be mentioned that those who are active in countering this anti Muslim propaganda include a disproportionate number of Jews too, usually liberals. A poll by the Abu Dhabi Gallup Centre showed that 80% of American Jews hold less prejudices against American Muslims than other religious groups do. Therefore this is certainly not a 'Jewish' problem and should not be treated as such. Nor do liberal Jews follow the hard line Zionist policies that right wing Zionists believe in. Neither liked nor trusted by liberal Jews, right wing Christian Zionists tend to find their allies amongst Messianic, Kahanist and secular right wing Likud type Jews both in Israel and their counterparts in the USA. These two groups have formed an uneasy alliance where they use each other for their own agendas.

The settler movement and the secular right wing Israelis need Christian Zionists to fund the settlements and for political support. The Christian Zionists hailing mainly from the least educated, impoverished echelons of American society, want to hasten the Armeggedon gladly reciprocate seeing it as an opportunity for covert Evangelical missionising in Israel, often a source of tension since proselytising is forbidden in Israel.

This then is the picture of today's Republican party in the USA, with it's large

base of tea party activists and religious right Bible belt, the latter having extremists numbering millions who believe in the Armeggedon and a war with Iran which is their reason for supporting radical Zionism, where bigotry is rife, in a nation where unemployment is growing, and the debt increasing.

Palestinians are standing in the way of their end time story in Israel and by extension their Arab and Muslim supporters are an enemy. Add to this unholy alliance, the rich resources of oil in the Caspian sea, Iraq and Iran for which a threat is needed to justify military intervention if and when needed, and you have an assortment of agendas concurring on the necessity of an 'Islam threat' for a variety of different reasons.

True to style, Debbie Schlussel wrote a rather distasteful tribute to Steve Jobs using his sad demise, as an opportunity to spew her poison. Recall the time when she couldn’t bear that Lebanese American, Rima Fakih won the Miss USA beauty pageant. Perhaps Debbie’s feared Rima would make Hezbollah ‘acceptable’. That was then, but this time it was Steve Jobs Muslim biological father, that caused her to rant:

‘Jobs was raised by Paul and Clara Jobs. The Syrian, Abdulfattah John Jandali, is now, at age 80, Vice President of a Nevada casino, so he’s clearly not a religious Muslim. And Jandali never met Jobs nor did he even know Jobs was his son until a few years ago.’

Some pure Debbie Schlussel vitriolic bigotry follows:

‘It’s a safe bet that if Steven Jobs had been raised as an Arab Muslim, there would be no Apple.’

Continuing with:

‘a religion that has very few of its adherents among the great geniuses, scientists, technology innovators, and inventors in the world.’

Debbie obviously missed out on history lessons. Never mind, help is at hand at muslimheritage.com she can learn about what Muslims have contributed to the world.

She then makes this hyperbolic claim:

‘And it’s about the kind of innovation and technological spirit that only happens in two countries in the world: the U.S. and Israel.’

This is just a bold faced lie. Without wishing to denigrate the contributions of the USA and Israel, it is nevertheless worth mentioning that not all countries are represented in the Nobel prizes, so the Nobel prizes alone are not an accurate indicator of scientific achievements. Israel's average IQ is 94, which puts it at the lower end of the European range and lower than the world average. Note the double standard hypocrisy here, whilst Debbie derides liberals, they are the ones who are the high achievers in both the countries she mentions (USA and Israel).

The Israeli education system is based on the European liberal one. The Orthodox religious schools in Israel are considered an impediment to progress and are considered to inhibit progress and a burden on society. In the USA, it is the liberal establishment that is at the forefront of academic and scientific achievements. Thus, whilst deriding liberals and their organisations and values, she is simultaneously stealing the credit for their contributions which actually are based on liberal values in both the countries that she mentions. Some chutzpah!

Media Matters followed this up and reported on her bigoted statements. MJ Rosenberg who also has a column at Al Jazeera tweeted :

‘I am pretty sure @DebbieSchlussel is a fake. I hear from friends in MI that she's not much of a Jew at all, not part of the community.’

Debbie retorted back in her trademark crazy style. As expected, poor George Soros gets the obligatory bashing:

‘As you may know, Media Matters gets millions of dollars from organizations funded by George Soros, I am a one (wo)man shop without the gazillion dollars in funding that this organization–which calls me a “Fake Jew”–has. ’

Finally, she ends with touting the Orthodox like herself as being the standard bearers of faith, denouncing the MJ Rosenberg type liberals with a self righteous:

‘They’ve left the religion and substituted liberalism for Judaism. Most religious Jews are conserative and voted for John McCain. 95% of my synagogue voted for McCain and against Obama. It’s the Reform and Conservative synagogues, not the Orthodox, where you will find the majority of liberal Jews and Jewish Obama supporters.’

This is the same woman who loves throwing around accusations of ‘Islamic Supremacism’ but who is not above touting herself to be superior to lesser mortals such as liberal Jews. Who is the supremacist here?

Perhaps realising her growing irrelevancy, Debbie exploits this incident and seizes upon it as a chance to make hay while the sun shines:

One is inclined to retort maybe she should thank Media Matters for giving her an opportunity to beg readers for donations instead of portraying the organisation in the role of a bully. The perverse logic being that just because Media Matters is a richly funded organisation, entitles her to ‘donations’ to spew bigotry and lies under the cover of playing victim. A kind of reverse snobbery, which is particularly odd in light of the fact that she has accused her rival Pamela Geller of something similar, when she is unwilling to give an untimely death the dignity it deserves.

This is not first time Gates of Vienna has published screeds supposedly written by other anonymous contributors calling for the genocide of Muslims. A few years back a similar lovingly written piece inciting for the genocide of Muslims was published as Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs noted in Gates of Vienna Toys with Genocide:

'If violence does erupt in European countries between natives and Muslims, I consider it highly likely that people who had never done anything more violent than beat eggs will prove incapable of managing the psychological transition to controlled violence and start killing anything that looks remotely Muslim. Our unspoken conviction that we, in 21st-century Europe, '

On 20th September 2011, Dymphna posted a three part series by one Zenster cross linked with his own website with polemics about terrorism and what Islam can expect as it's ultimate fate. Moving on to Part 1, titled 'When Will It End?' the essay begins by setting the tone with:

'Short answer ― It will end when the tipping point is reached. This tipping point can be defined as follows:

When living with Muslims becomes more trouble than living without Muslims.'

A long rambling justification about the costs of terrorism, in an obvious attempt to find some sort of moral justification as to why there is no other way, ending with the ominous warning 'The tipping point is approaching swiftly'

Part two of the essay has the presumptuous title 'Why it will End?' and answers the question by stating 'Islam has “unhappy ending” written all over it' before going on to elaborate with hyperbole and lies including one manufactured on Gates of Vienna by Fjordman:

‘Throughout Europe, Muslims are disproportionately represented in rape, violent crime and imprisonment statistics. The expense of this criminality reaches into extra billions of Euros per year and does not cover property damage, victim rehabilitation and other ancillary expenses.’

The rapes statistics in Scandinavia, that Fjordman published at Gates of Vienna which were then repeated on the Islamophobic blogosphere were proven to be lies. Zenster continues his mental masturbation:

'The reputation of Muslims as predatory criminals and intensely parasitic occupiers all combines into a damning indictment of Islam. Its presence on earth only promises increased conflict, more atrocities, new genocides and unwarranted diversions of wealth that could better serve far more deserving causes. Finally, Islam is assembling too many enemies too fast to where they cannot be expected to keep pursuing their own petty quarrels instead of addressing the overarching threat of jihad. The complete and total inability of Islam to coexist with any legitimate faith or other culture presages a day when its numerous victims will band together in pursuit of an ultimate victory.

That is why it will end.'

In the concluding Part three, 'How it will End?' Zenster sums it up briefly: 'The Muslim holocaust.' He then continues exhibiting more megalomania and what clearly appears to be a projection of his own fantasies:

‘Suffused with delusions of adequacy, Muslims think nothing of constantly antagonizing Western powers who long ago perfected industrialized warfare to an extent that Islam can only dream of, despite its supremacist fantasies.’

More ramblings, this time about Iran's spiritual leaders, perhaps to justify his own dreams of nuclear warfare:

'Complicating all of this is how the concept of military deterrence is essentially nonfunctional as regards Islam. A culture that glorifies and worships death is more than difficult to deter. For every bit that the West shrinks from waging Total War, the necessity of posing an existential threat to Islam only increases. When it comes to the ineffectuality of deterrence, no better example exists that of modern day Iran. The ramifications of Ahmadinejad’s tutelage under Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini pose some serious issues. Recall Khomeini’s words during his 1980 speech in Qom, the Shi’ite spiritual hub:

We do not worship Iran, we worship Allah. For patriotism is another name for paganism. I say let this land burn. I say let this land [Iran] go up in smoke, provided Islam emerges triumphant in the rest of the world.

When Ahmadinejad threatens to “wipe Israel off the map” it is with the implicit knowledge that Iran, as a country, may perish as a result. In effect, he is turning his entire nation into a gigantic suicide bomber. Neither is this the end of it. Iran’s reckless pursuit of genocide against the Jews could precipitate the Muslim holocaust all by itself. '

This could explain why the far right white supremacists see Israel as an ally. They see Israel as doing their dirty work for them, and as if on cue Zenster trots out the Samson option:

'Little known to most people is Israel’s Samson Option. If true, the Jewish state has quietly informed its Arab neighbors that a single WMD strike against Israel will result in the entire MME (Muslim Middle East) being incinerated in nuclear plasma. Hundreds of fusion warheads along with newly acquired Dolphin class submarines and cruise missiles back this up.'

There is cold comfort in this for Israel but it also has quite worrisome implications for the West. At a recent pan-Arab conference Saudi Arabia’s king essentially told Ahmadinejad to “sit down and shut up” with his genocidal ravings before the entire MME is annihilated. Should he take this admonishment to heart, then the question is beggared as to who else might be targeted for an Iranian nuclear strike.'

Contradictions galore! Elsewhere in this three part essay the author talks of the plot to establish the world Caliphate, but here he says he is convinced it won't come about. Freudian slip? :

'Now, consider how America rolled up Iraq’s sidewalks in two weeks. This is the “reality gap” confronting Islam and its delusory vision of world domination. No such thing will ever happen.'

The essay is full of dire warnings, rants about liberals who are complicit in Islamising the planet, of the political establishment for being too weak, but more gravely, it even condemns the 'counter jihad' movement for being too soft.

When you hear of so called ‘counter jihadis’ accused of being 'soft' and the whole of western civilisation embroiled in a plot whose aim it is to - err - destroy themselves, it is safe to assume you are reading from someone not quite right in the head, to put it politely. Someone who doesn’t deserve a second thought and should ordinarily be dismissed as a raving loon.

Except that it was at this very website, where a writer with the same Islamophobic rhetoric inspired a loner to kill tens of children on a holiday island!

Bat Ye'or and The Dhimmitude of Eurabia

Meet Bat Ye'or, the Islamophobia industry's favourite historian who popularised such terms as 'Eurabia', a Euro Arab Axis and "Dhimmitude" the servile state Christians and Jews are condemned to under Islamic rule.

Born in Cairo as Gisèle Orebi to a Jewish family she and her parents were forced to flee leaving behind everything in 1956. Settling in England, she married David Littman in 1959 and moved to Switzerland. Gisèle Littman writes under the name Bat Ye'or, Hebrew for 'daughter of the Nile'. Now in her seventies she wrote her first book about Jews in Egypt under the name ‘Yahudiya Masriya’ which means "Egyptian Jewess" in Arabic.

Bat Ye'or wrote a series of books and articles about life under Islamic rule for Christians and Jews, drawing mainly from her own experiences. With no qualifications or academic background in history, she routinely denigrates the contributions to humanity made by successive Muslim civilisations, magnifies their intolerant periods, ignores the periods of tolerance and generally paints a selective agenda driven picture which grossly distorts the truth and ignores the wider historical context. Despite her pretensions, she was not taken seriously in academic circles and remained on the fringes until 9/11. Her star rose after 9/11 when bashing Islam became a lucrative business most ardently embraced by conservative extremists. Some right wing Zionists have since made it a career. Prior to 9/11 the only Islamophobe of note was Daniel Pipes. By comparison he seems almost a moderate now, indeed he has bemoaned his growing irrelevance by whining that he does believe in a ‘moderate Islam’, a view that puts him at odds with the radical Zionist Islamophobes. These links have been elaborated in ' The Islamophobia Industry: Zionism and The Middle East' and highlighted by Ali Abunimah in an article for Al Jazeera English 'Islamophobia, Zionism and the Norway massacre' shortly after the Norwegian massacre.

Eurabia the myth Bat Ye'or invented

One of the first to cite Bat Ye'or's work was the Israeli American historian on Islamic history Bernard Lewis, who predicts that ‘Europe would be Islamic by the end of the century’. Self styled 'counter jihad' experts like Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch, Brigette Gabriel a Christian Zionist with her Act for America minions, and the shrieking Pamela Geller enthusiastically promoted Ye'or as 'an expert on Islamic history'. She propagates that European and Arab elites along with the Muslim Brotherhood, have a secret plan to usher in a world caliphate through the OIC. This revisionist history, packaged with images from round the clock 9/11 coverage was sold as the ‘true face of Islam’. Included in this propaganda was the mantra that 9/11 was the same threat Israel faced daily. It was in this manipulated climate of fear that the Iraq war was sold, though Saddam Hussein's regime was secular.

Since the Anders Breivik massacre, Bat Ye'or has been under the spotlight for having been a prime influence upon the murderer. Her conspiracies however, had already been discredited prior to the Anders Breivik massacre. One of the first to deconstruct the Eurabia myth was Matt Carr of 'The Institute of Race Relations.' In 2006 he authored a 23 page report which is downloadable as a free PDF document ‘You are now entering Eurabia’. On page 8 Carr notes:

‘The EU’s perceived tilt towards the Palestinians is crucial to Ye’or’s indictment of Eurabia, where ‘the conception and practice of Palestinianism as a hate cult against Israel has had a profound impact on European society’ and where anti-Zionism is always synonymous with anti-Semitism.’

In his report, Matt Carr mused that the Eurabia myth had the potential of evolving from a fringe conspiracy to a ‘dangerous Islamophobic fantasy’. With hindsight his words proved to have been tragically prophetic with the Norwegian massacre. Loon Watch which has indepth and intelligent responses to Islamophobic smears published ‘Bat Ye’or: Anti-Muslim Loon with a Crazy Conspiracy Theory Named “Eurabia’.

David Horowitz’s Front Page Mag interviewed Bat Ye'or in 2006. The interview began with the pretentious introduction ‘the world's foremost authority on ‘dhimmitude’. Ye'or was then asked to explain her new term, ‘Palestinianization’. She replies:

She continues:

‘The European trend has added to it traditional Christian anti-Semitism which condemns the Jews to perpetual exile till they convert. The Palestinian war against Israel, strongly encouraged by many in Europe, came as a magnificent opportunity to continue and maintain the culture of hate and denigration against the Jews -- now the State of Israel -- and by lending a moral and political support to a second Holocaust. Europe has been the biggest supporter and subsidizer for the Palestinians, as well as their ideological teachers.’

Which is it? Is it the OIC imposing their caliphate on the 'dhimmified' Europeans for the past thirty-five years or is it the Europeans imposing their Christian anti-semitism on the Palestinians since Israel’s creation so that they can carry out a second Holocaust against Israelis? Either way, both the OIC and the Europeans with their combined resources have been miserable failures, after having had decades to complete this mission!

‘I think that it is, precisely, ’Palestinianism’ which is at the root of Europe's decadence. It is an ideology based on a replacement theology whereby Palestine replaces Israel. As it has been conceived and instigated together by European and Arab intellectuals and politicians, it combines the worst of both cultures.’

Putting things into perspective, one could view Bat Ye'or's pathological hatred and attempt to explain it in psychological terms as being a reaction to her earlier life and expulsion from Egypt. Or one could compare it to the route Judea Pearl embraced after the murder of his son Daniel Pearl in Pakistan. Judea Pearl set up the 'Daniel Pearl Foundation' which he hopes will address the root causes of the tragedy. Since 2002 the organisation has held musical concerts around the world promoting the values of tolerance, integrity, and respect.

Feigning a concern for Europe’s supposed demise into ‘dhimmitude’, Ye’or’s real agenda becomes apparent. In her sanctimonious, holier than thou diatribes addressed to the ignorant, dhimmified, Jew hating Europeans, Bat Ye'or unwittingly shows herself to be the very antithesis of those same virtues she claims Europeans have abandoned.

The Islamophobia Industry: Zionism and The Middle East

Anders Brieviek the Norwegian mass murderer idolised Islamophobic demagogues like Fjordman, Robert Spencer, Bat Ye’or, Pamella Geller, Brigette Gabriel and Geert Wilders. What do Islamophobes, whether they are nazis, white supremacists, neo-cons, Christian supremacists, funders, bloggers, propogandists or media personalites nearly all have in common? This article connects the dots between the Islamophobia industry and right wing Zionism.

On the 22 July 2011, Anders Behring Breivik, an Islamophobic right wing

Norwegian, set off a bomb outside the prime minister’s office in Oslo.

He then entered a summer camp on the Norwegian island of Utoya where the youth wing of Norway’s ruling Labor party had been holidaying and shot dead 69 people. He is now in solitary confinement awaiting trial. Breivik had cobbled together a "manifesto" that layed bare his reasons for the attack and the motivations. Under interrogation, he told police he had no regrets about the massacre because he had to save Europe from being taken over by Muslims and from multiculturalism.

A closer look at the 1,500-page "manifesto", A European Declaration of Independence, which Brievik emailed to his online community hours before the crime, was replete with material and quotations from a small but tightly knit transatlantic network of anti Muslim demagogues and bloggers, of how Europe was becoming "Eurabia", a myth propogated by Bat Ye'or. With a some exceptions, the names of his favourite inspirations read like a Who's Who of the Islamophobia industry. This underworld of the Islamophobic blogosphere which includes writers, self styled experts on Islam, dubious "historians" and from which Anders Brievik took his inspiration, has come under the spotlight since the horrific massacre.

European Far Right

Brievik cited heavily from the now notorious anti Muslim blog “Gates of Vienna” run by a white supremacist known as Baron Bodissy.

His fellow Norwegian white supremacist Islamophobe, Pedar Jensen, was a heavy contributor to Gates of Vienna under the anonymous alias of Fjordman

until he was interviewed by Norwegian police.

Fearing for his safety, Fjordman has since gone into hiding.

Gisele Littman, better known as Bat Ye’or is a Cairo born Jewess, who fled Egypt in the 1950's. Leaving behind everything she landed in England and now lives in Switzerland. She is the author of "Eurabia: the Euro-Arab Axis” and other books. She claims to be a historian on "dhimmitude". Her works are alarmist in nature, she claims European elites made secret deals with Arab rulers to bring in immigrants to Europe in exchange for oil. She gives dire warnings of impending “Dhimmitude” where Christian and Jewish Europeans would be servile dhimmis to their Islamic Arab overlords. Her theories have generally been dismissed by historians, but since 9/11 some like Bernard Lewis cited her work on Assyrian Christians. Islamphobes propogate her work and Brievik bought into her conspiracies.

On July 25th the Associated press reported that Bat Ye'or " has expressed regret that her writing might have helped to inspire his rampage." It is

perhaps not surprising that Bat Ye'or's revisionist history of Christians and Jews living under Islamic rule, found an eager audience amongst Islamophobes. What is surprising is that a respected historian like Sir Martin Gilbert, who has received some flak from his peer group, would give her work credence in his book "The House of Ishmael". Further digging led to the not so surprising discovery that Sir Martin Gilbert is Jewish and a passionate Zionist as is the American historian Bernard Lewis who has also cited her in his books about Islamic history.

The "Eurabia" conspiracy was eagerly lapped up by the European far right. For over a decade the far right in Europe has been critical of the immigration policies of their countries. The Vlaams Belang in Belgium, the PVV in Holland (Geert Wilders party) the Front National in France and the FPO in Austria, and the The English Defence League’swhich has a Jewish Division.

Geert Wilders, whom Brievik admires has called for the Quran to be banned. He was the subject of a BBC documentary "Europes Most Dangerous Man" and claims to have been to Israel over 40 times. His legal fees during his prosecution in the Dutch courts for incitement were met by Daniel Pipes' "Middle East Forum".

The British journalist Melanie Philips, author of "Londonistan", and columnist for the Daily Mail and The Jewish Chronicle was quoted in the "manifesto". Philips is known for her right wing views, she was in favour of the Iraq war, in contrast to the majority of the British public. Brievik cited her from an article she wrote describing the former Labour government as being guilty of "unalloyed treachery" for allowing mass immigration to "destroy what it means to be culturally British and to put another 'multicultural' identity in its place".

Seeking allies to further their aims and for funding the European right wing populists, and white supremacists have forged alliances with far right Zionist extremists. The traditional hatred reserved for Jews by these same far right extremists, has now been exchanged for a new threat, that of Muslims. To this end, there have been some bizarre alliances, amongst ultra nationalist Europeans and the far right Islamophobic Zionists in Israel and the USA.

The Islamophobia industry has a network of funders, activists, and bloggers sympathetic to the far right wing Zionist aim of expanding settlements and ridding the land of Palestinians. For this they need to keep up a steady stream of propoganda, of the type that brought about the Iraq war.

American Islamophobes

Islamophobia became an industry after 9/11 in the USA.

The pseudo-academic Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch, was referenced 55 times in Brievik's manifesto. Robert Spencer a Catholic writer who is the director of Jihad Watch which is owned by David Horowitz  and his “Freedom Center", publishes Front Page mag, whose columnists regularly churn out anti Muslim and anti Palestinian propoganda.

Daniel Pipes, a neo con Muslim basher who was active long before 9.11 was mentioned over 18 times. The extremist neo-con blogger Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs is cited too. She operates an Islamophobic organization in partnership with Spencer, Stop Islamisation of America, which has a European sister organisation named Stop Islamisation of Europe. Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer have been on talkshows and on Fox TV, giving them a degree of exposure, visibility and an audience. Geller was the ringleader in the controversy over the Cordoba House's "Ground Zero Mosque" in 2010. Conservative media favourites like  Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Mark Steyn are quoted by Brievik as is the historian Bernard Lewis. Patrick Buchanan opined that "Breivik may be right" about the supposed clash of civilizations between Western Christianity and Eastern Islam.

The Funding

Aubrey Chernick, is a publicity shy software tycoon with a personal fortune of $780 million. He and his wife Joyce Chernick are amongst the biggest donors  to David Horowitz's Freedom Centre which owns Jihad Watch. Another recipient of their funds is Aish HaTorah, an organisation which claims

to educate Jews about Judaism. With an office in New York this group has branches in and is active in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Aish HaTorah shares an office address with the mysterious Clarion Fund which produced "Obsession", a DVD warning of the dangers of Jihad. The Clarion Fund was responsible for distributing over 25 million DVD's in the US 2008 election race. "Obsession" had a roster of Islamophobic speakers warning of the dangers of Islam. Clearly it was a propoganda piece designed to scare voters into choosing a candidate that would continue the bloodshed and war in the Middle East, that had been the trademark of the Bush presidency since 9/11.

America's free speech laws zealously guarded in the first amendment rights, and the nature of the internet provide a fertile breeding ground for extremist bloggers to propogate their hate free from any kind of scrutiny and with relative anonymity. The Arab spring proved how influential online social networking media can be in influencing opinion.

Zionism, Palestinians and the Middle East

What does all this have to do with the Middle East? American foreign policy, lobby groups, media propoganda and the demonisation of Islam, ultimately influences the politics and economies of not only Palestine, but the wider Arab and Muslim world as tools to be manipulated for an agenda. A selection of some of the more prominent personalites engaged in the Islamophobia industry gives us an insight into how the dots are connected:

"Let us fight together with Israel, with our Zionist brothers against all anti-Zionists, against all cultural Marxists/multiculturalists," Breivik wrote in his manifesto.Commending Israel for robbing most of it's Muslim citizens of civil rights, as opposed to the freedom Muslims enjoyed in Europe Brievik spoke highly of Netanyahu for including the Yisrael Beiteinu and the Shas parties in his ruling coalition. A number of Israeli professors were quoted in his "manifesto", including Itamar Rabinovich and Eyal Zisser.

Ten years earlier, Netanyahu could barely conceal his glee when asked for his reaction to the 9/11 attacks. “It’s very good”, he gushed, then realising how it would sound, quickly added, “Well, not very good, but it will generate immediate sympathy”. This was a heaven sent opportunity to the Zionist lobby to propogate the myth of Israel and the United States as having the same enemy. In the heightened climate of fear, this propoganda of Islam and Arabs being the enemy found a receptive audience particulary amongst the millions of

Christian Zionists. Thus was born a whole new Islamophobia industry, complete with "ex Muslims" like Walid Shoebat, whose fake narrative has now been exposed as a sham. Brigitte Gabriel another rabid Islamophobic Christian Zionist is President of Act for America. She is also known as Nour Semaan and Hanan Tudor. Her talks denigrating Islam and Muslims are sponsored by hard right Zionist organisations.

David Yerushalmi, a Brooklyn lawyer who settled in Jerusalem, and is affiliated with Lubavitch Hasidic Judaism, has been the architect behind the anti-Sharia bills in the USA. He is Pamela Geller's and Robert Spencer's legal representive.

from Aubrey Chernick is active in the settlements of the West Bank, in Palestine. Most of the funds for the expansion of settlements come from the USA, from Jewish and Christian Zionist charities.

All of the writers and bloggers mentioned above have expressed their revulsion and distanced themselves from the carnage in Norway. Since coming under the spotlight, their reactions have ranged from expressing regret (Bat Ye'or) being on the defensive (Pamela Geller, Geert Wilders).

Gates of Vienna meanwhile has inferred that Anders Brievik may be working for 'covert forces'. Frank Gaffney and Jihad Watch have have put forth bizarre conspiracy theories of the Noway massacre having being a false flag operation to silence the "counter jihadists" with dark hints that Brievik may be a convert to Islam. Debbie Schlussul, who like Pamela Geller is notorious for her pro Israel and anti Muslim rants, has condemned the attack but crowed that it was "karma" for Norway, as it is an anti Israel country.

Up until the Norway massacre, the underground world of Islamophobic bloggers did not merit the attention of the law enforcement agencies. After Utoya, Europol announced a new EUR50 million fund to monitor far right extremism. Previsouly right wing extremism had been deemed as less worthy of attention and not as serious a threat as that posed by Al Qaeda and Islamists.

In an attempt to intimidate, denunciations of "anti-semitism" followed at any attempt to link the ideology behind the Norway massacre to Zionist extremism. For too long these underworld hate mongers have tried to silence and stifle any debate on this subject. Is there a link between right wing Zionism and Islamophobia? Certainly more and more people and the mainstream media are now exploring this hitherto taboo subject and connecting the dots.
